ZsaZsa was the name of my first rescue sheltie, she changed my life and the lives of others around her in many ways. Her passion for life and never ending love fueled my passion for rescuing shelties. ZsaZsa was a remarkable dog and I was lucky to have her in my life. Every sheltie we save is in memory of ZsaZsa.
We are a non-profit, 501c3 organization. Our shelties come to us as strays, from shelters or from owners who can no longer care for them. Once in our care, each sheltie is spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on routine vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped, we also provide any additional vet care that the dog might require. We foster the shelties in our own homes. Families wanting to adopt one of our shelties are very carefully screened so that each sheltie goes to a home matching the needs of the sheltie with the family situation.
The Oklahoma Shetland Sheepdog Rescue has turned to Blair Crandell to continue the search of wonderful homes for shelties. Blair was 13 yrs old when she & her mother adopted a rescue Sheltie named Zsa-Zsa, she changed Blair’s life. Blair just graduated from OSU and has been active with other rescue groups and has been doing remarkable work. I feel so honored to be able to watch a young girl grow into such a beautiful caring woman. Blair is taking the sheltie rescue to a new and wonderful level. Zsa-Zsa Sheltie Rescue will be a Non-Profit 501-C-3 organization. She has asked me to be a board member, so I will still be involved. For health reasons, I can no longer do the physical part of rescue. If you have adopted from me, please let Blair know and I will be happy to contact her &/or write a letter of recommendation.
Thank you for giving a rescue a second chance of a wonderful life with you and the opportunity to change not only your life but others around you.
